The board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) has finally met with Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy over the lifting of the ban that was placed on them in 2019.
Following some misunderstandings and some unpleasant scenes caused in the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were banned from participating in the award scheme until further notice.
In recent times, the ban was being lifted by the board but both musicians were not happy with how the decision was being taken without their formal concern.
Some industry players like the Legendary Da’Hammer, A-Plus, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, and others have also expressed their disappointments in the board’s inability to meet with the two artistes before lifting the ban.
Others have also suggested that the board lifted the ban on the artistes because of revenue. They believe that the award scheme cannot achieve enough without these two big musicians on board.
Stonebwoy in a post on Snapchat revealed that they have finally met with the board to discuss the pending issue. He added that neither himself nor Shatta Wale have given their humble concerns whether they desire for the ban to be lifted or not.
